The Google Sheets Query Function by Coding is for Losers

The Google Sheets Query Function

A weapon of mass laziness

The Query function is the shortcut to mastering Google Sheets.

Instead of mixing up a bunch of spreadsheet formulas to get something done, you can get away with writing one Query.

If you're working with data in any capacity - even if it's just to produce a monthly report - you'll want to know how to run Queries.

This course teaches Querying interactively, by working through a sample analysis of Twitter data in Google Sheets.

Mastering Google Sheets, Data Studio and BigQuery

Helping you wrangle your data + automate your work, without (hardly ever) leaving the Google stack.

Is there a quiz?

There are two quizzes - one on basic querying, and once more advanced querying. You’ll be asked to write Queries to answer questions like ‘What’s the best day of the week to Tweet?’ by combining Query with other formulas (Arrayformula, Weekday, and Importrange, for example). Both quizzes are modeled off of example questions covered in videos, so even if you’re stuck you’ll be able to reference a previous tutorial.

What tools are needed for this course?

You'll need a Google account to use Google Sheets.

What if I need help as I work through the course?

I keep Fridays open for office hours with students - you can book 30 minutes anytime.

What will I be able to do at the end of this course?

Write advanced Queries in Sheets, to do any type of data analysis. Query replaces the need to build pivot tables, calculate metrics using long strings of formulas, or write long strings of formulas to transform data into the right format.

What if I buy the course and find out it's not for me?

I'll refund your purchase within 30 days, no questions asked.

Who is this course for?

If you use Google Sheets in your work, you’ll want to learn the Query function. The sample analysis in this course (of Twitter data) is aimed at marketers, startups, and agencies - but Sheets lovers outside of those fields can benefit from the course just the same.
